YMCA of the USA: Learning & Career Development Center (LCDC)

The YMCA of the USA has hundreds of trainings available virtually and in-person through the LCDC. Unfortunately, these can be difficult to search. In order to make your lives a little easier, we have assembled a list of trainings and their registration links for New Employees, as well as New Supervisors.

New Employee Essentials

These classes comprise the “Leaders Certification” and are designed for all YMCA staff; part-time and full-time and all positions. They were intended to be experienced during a new employee’s first six months of Y employment.

Below is a list of in-person courses that we will be hosting for the PA Fall 2024 Regional Training Event. These can also be found on LCDC under Events, PA 2024 Fall Regional Training Event. All courses, with the exception of YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor (TBD), will be held at the Oscar Lasko YMCA, Conference Room 2B/2C, at 1 East Chestnut Street, West Chester, PA. There is lodging at the Hotel Warner, ½ block from the YMCA, many restaurants within walking distance and a parking garage across the street ($9/day).
